The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has officially released the Advertisement No. 734 / Notification No. 04/2026 dated 20 May 2026 for the Combined Technical Services Examination (Non-Interview Posts) 2026.

A total of 461 vacancies are announced for various technical and non-interview posts including Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Assistant Geologist, Horticultural Officer, Drug Inspector, Archaeological Officer and many others across multiple departments of Government of Tamil Nadu. This is one of the largest technical recruitment drives in Tamil Nadu in 2026.

Selected candidates will be appointed in the following pay levels (subject to post):

  • Level 20 / Level 19 / Level 18 / Level 17 / Level 16 / Level 15 / Level 13 / Level 12 / Level 11 / Level 10 / Level 9 / Level 8 / Level 1

Basic pay ranges from ₹19,900 to ₹1,77,500 plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Medical Allowance and other benefits as per Tamil Nadu Government rules. Some posts also carry EPF / GPF / SPF benefits.

  • Most posts: 21–32 years (OC)
  • SC/SC(A)/ST/MBC/DC/BC/BCM: No maximum age limit (should not have completed 60 years)
  • Special posts (e.g., Junior Photographer): Up to 42 years
  • Age concessions: PwD +10 years, Ex-Servicemen +18 years (no upper limit for most posts), Destitute Widow – No maximum age limit

Educational Qualification (post-wise examples):

  • Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical): B.E./B.Tech in relevant branch
  • Assistant Geologist: M.Sc. Geology / Applied Geology / Hydrogeology
  • Horticultural Officer: B.Sc. Horticulture
