Canara Bank, a leading Public Sector Bank with Head Office in Bengaluru and a network of over 10,000 branches, has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for Engagement of Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27. A total of 3,500 training seats will be filled across States and Union Territories.

✅ Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Indian Citizens only.
- Educational Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India, or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
- Graduation Period: Candidates must have passed Graduation not earlier than 01.01.2023 and not later than 01.09.2026 (both days inclusive).
- Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 28 years. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1998 and not later than 01.09.2006 (both days inclusive).
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years. Widows / divorced / legally separated women who have not remarried – up to 35 years (UR/EWS), 38 years (OBC) and 40 years (SC/ST).
- 12th / Diploma Qualifying Marks for Merit: Minimum 60% in 12th Std (HSC/10+2) / Diploma (55% for SC/ST/PwBD). Fraction of percentage will be ignored (59.99% will be treated as less than 60%).
- Local Language: Candidates who studied the specified opted local language in 10th or 12th need not appear for the language test. Others must qualify the local language test at Document Verification. Failure in the language test will lead to rejection.
- Medical Fitness: Engagement is subject to being declared medically fit as per Bank norms.
✅ Canara Bank Apprentice Stipend 2026:
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹16,650 during the 12-month training period.
- Canara Bank contribution: ₹10,500 per month
- Government share through DBT: ₹6,150 per month
This is an apprenticeship engagement under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and not a regular / permanent appointment in Canara Bank.
