Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India invites applications for the post of Senior Research Officer and Senior Field Officer through Direct Recruitment on the basis of valid GATE 2016 Marks.

Age Limit: Not exceed 35 Years for all posts.

Pay Scale: Pay Band-3 ₹ 15600 – 39100 with Grade Pay ₹ 5400/- for all posts.

Educational Qualifications:

Senior Research Officer (Crypto) –> Post Graduate in Computer Applications; (OR) Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science or Electronics and Communications or Electronics. Desirable - Aptitude in Cryptography, Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Senior Research Officer (S & T) –> Post Graduate in Physics or Chemistry. Desirable - Doctorate Degree in Science from a recognised University and Possessing Knowledge of French or German or Chineese Lanuage.

Senior Field Officer (Tele) –>  Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognised University in Telecommunication or Electronics or equivalent or passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (India) or Associate Membership Examination of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers.

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions of educational qualification, age etc. and having minimum 50% marks in GATE in one of the following subject papers with a valid GATE score card as on the closing date of receipt of application, will be eligible to apply for the under-mentioned posts.

Selection Process: The selection for direct recruitment to these posts will be based on the valid GATE marks out of 100 and personal interview carrying 25 marks respectively. A candidate has to secure a minimum qualifying marks of 40% in Personal Interview.

Candidates willing to be considered for the above posts are advised to register themselves and appear in GATE examination 2016. Online Registration for GATE 2016 shall commence on 1st September 2015. Advertisement to call for applications of the candidates with valid GATE score card will be issued after declaration of the result of GATE- 2016.

Qualification & Experience: Bachelor's degree in the concerned language from a recognized University or Institution or a degree with diploma in the concerned language from a recognized University or Institution. Experience - High degree of proficiency in English with competence to translate from the concerned language into English and Vice-Versa.

Selection Process: Written Examination and Interview. The written examination consists of a single paper of 2 hours duration carrying 100 marks (Subjective-70 marks & Objective-30 marks) to test the knowledge of the candidates in the respective languages. Viva-voce and interview will be of 50 and 30 marks respectively. The standard of written examination and viva will be that of diploma of a recognized university/institution in the concerned language. Only selected candidates would be informed of their selection in due course after the selection process and no correspondence on the subject would be entertained.
