Headquarters Southern Naval Command, Kochi invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for recruitment of Scientific Assistant for fill up total 23 Vacancies in Naval Unit located in various places across the country including Andaman & Nicobar Island.

Essential Qualifications: B.Sc degree in Physics or Chemistry or Electronics or Oceanography with two years experience in the following fields:-

(a) Material (metal, metal alloys, rubber) analysis and testing techniques (OR)
(b) Machinery noise and vibration movements; analysis and reduction techniques (OR)
(c) Chemical analysis of oils, lubricants, electrolyte and water etc. (OR)
(d) Study and analysis of corrosion process- and mitigation techniques.

Qualification & Experience:

Chargeman (Air Engineering) -> Candidates should have held the rank of Petty Officer or equivalent and have 07 years service/experience as such in the appropriate technical branch of the Army, Navy or Air Force (OR) Diploma in Aeronautical or Electrical or Mechanical or Telecommunication or Automobile Engineering (OR) Martriculates with approved apprenticeship and 05 years experience in the trade.

MT Fitter (SK) -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Board or Institution. 03 years experience as a Motor Transport Fitter in a service garage.

Welder (SK) -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or' Board with knowledge of English. Should have completed Apprenticeship training in the Trade (OR) Mechanic or equivalent with two years regular service in the appropriate Technical Branch'of the Army, Navy and Air Force.

Bugler Instructor -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institution or Board. Knowledge of Music from staff notation. 04 years experience as Bugler Cornet or Trumpet Player in the Armed
Forces or Navy or Airforce.

Cinema Projectionist II -> Matriculation or equivalent from recognised Board/Institution. Must be in possession of licence prescribed by respective State Government/Municipal Corporation etc. Two year's experience in the appropriate field/trade.

Mechanic 'Air Radio' (SK) -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board. Candidates should have held the rank of Seaman I or equivalent with 3 years service in the appropriate technical branch of the Army, Navy or Air Force. (OR) Should have completed approved apprenticeship/ certificate from a recognised Industrial Training Institute or equivalent in the appropriate/akin field or trade (OR) 02 years service/experience in the trade.

Cook (DSC) -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board. Must have knowledge of basic principles for Indian Cookery and experience in cooking.

Mali -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board.
Desirable - About one year's experience in the profession.

Dhobi -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board. Some experience in the trade. Desirable - Knowledge of Hindi or Regional Language.
 
Barber -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board. Proficiency in the Barber's profession/job.

Pest Control Worker -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board and ability to read and and speak Hindi/Regional Language and for Ex-servicemen - The candidates should have  the rank of Topass II or equivalent in the appropriate branch of the Army, Navy or Air Force.

Ward Sahayika -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board. Some experience in the trade. Desirable - Knowledge of Hindi or Regional Language.

Copy Cat Operator -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board. 1 year's experience in Photo/ Film Studio, good knowledge of printing, developing and enlarging of photo films and allied work.

Lab Attendant -> Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Institute or Board with one year experience in a Laboratory recognised or registered with State or Central Government.
