Essential Qualifications:
Fire Supervisor –>
(1) Matric with 12th standard pass from a recognised Board.
(2) Senior Fire Supervisor Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub Officers Course from National Fire Service College Nagpur or any other similar recognized course. (3) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers hose fittings and fire appliances and equipments like fire engines, trailer fire pumps, foam branches, etc.
(4) Must have served in a recognised civil or defence fire brigades in a supervisory capability for a minimum period of three years.
Fire Engine Driver –>
(1) 10th Standard pass from a recognised Board.
(2) Must have at least three years experience of driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of valid driving licence.
(3) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under (aa) Height without shoes: 165 cms provided that a concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes, (ab) Chest (unexpanded) -81.5 cms, (ac) Chest (on expansion) - 85 cms, (ad) Weight - 50 kg (minimum), (ae) Endurance Test.
Fireman –>
(1) 10th Standard pass from a recognised Board.
(2) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipments fire engines, trailer pumps, foam branches.
(3) Must be familiar with first aid use and maintenance of fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
(4) Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire.
(5) Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew.
(6) Must have served in a recognised Civil or Defence Fire Brigades as Fireman Grade II for a minimum period of three years.
(7) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the physical fitness test as under: (aa) Height without shoes - 165 cms provided that a concession of 2.5 cms in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes, (ab) Chest (unexpanded) - 81.5 cms, (ac) Chest (onexpansion) - 85 cms, (ad) Weight - 50 kg (minimum), (ae) Endurance Test.
