Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) invites Online applications from the permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir State for recruitment posts of Librarian and Physical Training Instructor (PTI) in Higher Education Department of J&K State. The Online registration of application start from 15th December 2016 and close on 15th January 2017.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2016): 18 to 40 Years; Maximum - 42 Years for PWD, 43 Years for RBA/ SC/ ST/ ALC/ SLC categories, 48 Years for Ex-serviceman.
Educational Qualifications:
Librarians ->
(1) Good academic record with knowledge of computerization of Library, having at least 55% marks {50%, excluding any grace marks, in case of Scheduled Cast/Scheduled tribe/ Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently abled Categories/Ph.D degree holders, who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19th September 1991} or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed, at the Master's Degree (Post Graduate) level Library Science/Information Science/ documentation Science, or an equivalent professional degree form an India/ Accredited foreign University.
(2) The candidate must have cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by the UGC,CSIR/AIU.
(3) The candidates who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D degree regulations), 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
Physical Training Instructors (PTI) –>
(1) A Master's Degree (Post Graduate) in Physical Education or Master's Degree in Sports Science with at least 55% marks {50%, excluding any grace marks, in case of Scheduled marks, in case of SC/ ST/ Differently-abled (Physically and Visually differently abled) categories/ Ph.D degree holders, who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19th September 1991} or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed with a consistently good academic record.
(2) Has represented the University/College at the inter-university/collegiate competition or the State and/or national championship.
(3) The candidate must have cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by the UGC, CSIR/AIU.
Examination Fee: ₹ 805/- for General, ₹ 405/- for Reserved category candidates. The total amount of fee payable shall include ₹.5/- as service charges of the J&K Bank. After successful submission of the form online, a challan will be generated indicating the basic details of the candidate which inter-alia shall indicate the amount of fee to be deposited in the J&K Bank branch.
Selection Process: Written Examination. The exam will be held at different centres located in Srinagar and Jammu cities.
