Place of work: SQAE (GS), DGQA Complex, Pazhavanthangal PO, Chennai-600114. However selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in India.

Age Limit:

(a) Lower Division Clerk -> General - 18-27 years; OBC - 18 to 30 years of age in accordance with the instructions issued by Central Govt time to time;
(b) Multi Tasking Staff (Security) -> SC - 18 to 30 years of age in accordance with the instructions issued by Central Govt time to time;
(c) Technician (Semi-skilled) -> (i) Govt Servant/ Departmental Candidates - Relaxable upto 43 years in case of OBC and 45 years in case of SC, NOC required. (ii) Age relaxable for Ex-serviceman by the length of military service plus three years subject to the conditions that on the closing date of receipt of applications the continuous service in the Armed Forces is not less than 6 months and that the resultant age after deducting his period of service from his actual age does not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than 3 years. (iii) Age relaxable for Physically Handicapped persons shall be upto 10 years.

Educational Qualifications:

Lower Division Clerk ->

(a) Matric with 12th class or equivalent qualification from any recognized Board or University.
(b) Skill test norms on Computer : English Typing @ 35 words per minute; or Hindi typing @ 30 words per minute (Time allowed - 1 0 minutes) (35 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi correspond to 10,500 key depression per hour/9000 key depressions per hour; on an average of 5 key depressions for each ward).
(c) Desirable - Basic knowledge in computers: Note: Typing Master software will be used for Typing Test. Candidate who qualifies in Typing Test will only be permitted for Written Test.

Multi Tasking Staff (Security) -> Matriculation (10th class pass) from a recognised Board.

Technician (Semi-skilled) -> Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Pass certificate in the specified Trades viz. Instrument Mechanic, Fitter Electrician, Draftsman Mechanical, Cutting and Sewing, Textile Designing, Dress Designing, Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Carpenter, Computer Operator and Programme Assistant/ Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance, Painter, Auto Electrician, Book Binder, Computer Hardware and Networking or its equivalent Defence Service Tradesman Course approved as such by the Central Government or State Government.
