Age Limit (as on 25/05/2017): Not exceeding 52 years for Scientist-G, Not exceeding 50 years for Scientist-E, Not exceeding 45 years for Scientist-D and Not exceeding 40 years for Scientist-C.

Qualification and Experience:

Scientist-G -> 1st Class Master's degree in Life Science from a recognized University plus 12 years R&D experience in the relevant subject, out of which 5 years in a managerial position to handle R&D Projects independently in a team effectively in a directing position. Working experience in the area of Publication, Planning, Editing, copy editing and policy, planning, drafting guidelines, preparation status report, health data analysis, and database management etc.

Scientist-E -> B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science from a recognized degree plus 12 years R&D/Teaching experience in Computer Science after B.E./B.Tech degree. (OR) First Class Master Degree in Computer Science from a recognized University plus 10 years R & D/Teaching experience in Computer Science after 1st Class master degree. OR Second Class Master Degree + Ph.D in Computer Science from a recognized University plus 10 years R & D/Teaching experience in Computer Science.

Scientist-D -> Post graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in Obstractics & Gynecology/ Family Medicine/ General Medicine/ Pediatrics with five year R&D /teaching experience or Postgraduate diploma in related medical subjects plus six years R&D/teaching experience in the required subject from recognized university. (OR) MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized university plus 8 years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after MBBS Degree. Under experience as indicated above, 2 years experience in a directing/managerial position to handle R&D projects in a team effectively.

Scientist-C -> Post graduate degree (OR) Second Class Master's and Ph.D. Degree. Experience Required. Detailed qualification check out official notification.

Application Fee: ₹ 500/- for General and OBC Category Candidates. The fee in the form of Demand Draft (DD) made out in favour of Director General, ICMR, New Delhi. SC/ST & women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
