Scale of Pay:

(a) Assistant Professors & Librarian -> ₹ 15600 - 39100 with AGP of ₹ 6000/-
(b) Lecturer (Tech) -> ₹ 15600 - 39100 with AGP of ₹ 5400/- (on completion of Masters Degree in appropriate Branch/ Discipline shall move to AGP ₹ 6000/-)
(c) Lecturer (Non-Tech) -> ₹ 15600 - 39100 with AGP of ₹ 6000/-
(d) Senior Instructor -> ₹ 5200 - 20200 with GP ₹ 3300/-

Educational Qualifications:

Assistant Professor (Tech.) -> B.E./B. Tech and M.E./M. Tech. in concerned engineering discipline.

Assistant Professor (Non-Technical) -> Post Graduate in concerned discipline with NET/ SLET/ SET cleared and/or PhD. Degree awarded in accordance with the UGC Regulation, 2009.

Librarian (Engineering) -> Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Technology in concerned Engineering discipline  with First class or equivalent. If the candidate has a Master's Degree in Engineering/ Technology, First Class or equivalent required at Bachelor's or Master's Level.

Librarian (Non-Tech) -> Post Graduate in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade). Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

Lecturer (Tech.) -> Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology in concerned Engineering discipline with First class or equivalent. If the candidate has a Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology, First Class or equivalent required at Bachelor’s or Master’s Level.

Lecturer (Non-Tech) -> Good Academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale whenever grading system is followed) at the Master Degree Level in required discipline with NET/SLET/SET cleared and/or PhD. Degree awarded in accordance with the UGC Regulation, 2009.

Senior Instructor -> 03 years Diploma in the concerned Engineering discipline from AICTE recognized Institutes with First Class or 60%.

Assistant Engineer (Civil) -> A Degree in the respective branch of Engineering (Civil) of an Indian or Foreign University recognized by the Govt./AMIE (parts A&B) passed.

Assistant Engineer (IT) -> BE/ B.Tech, in computer Science and Engineering or Engineering Degree in IT in regular course only from any Engineering College/ University recognized by AICTE. Engineering Degree in IT from IGNOU in Distance education mode.

Selection Process: Written Test / Interview.

Qualification and Experience:

Assistant Professor -> Good Academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at Master's Degree level in Sanskrit (specialization in the concerned discipline i.e. Nyaya) with major in degree level. Candidates must possess the latest UGC norms with NET/SLET OR Ph.D or M.Phil Degree obtained on or before 10/07/2009 from a UGC recognized University/ Institution.

Research Assistant -> Graduate in any discipline from recognized Indian/ Foreign University. 05 years working experience as Junior Administrative Assistant/ Sr. Administrative Asstt. of Assam Secretariat.

Special Officer (Ahom Studies) -> Post Graduate Degree in History of a recognized University. A certificate/ Diploma in Ahom-Tai from a recognized university. Published works in History. Proficiency in reading and deciphering of Ahom-Tai Manuscripts is desirable.

Language Officer (Assamese) -> the candidates must have Law Degree with Assamese as one of the subjects in the degree course.

Language Officer (Bengali) -> the candidate must have Law Degree with Bengali as one of the subjects in the degree course.

Language Officer (Hindi) -> the candidate must have Law Degree with Hindi as one of the subjects in the degree course.

Chief Language Officer (Assamese) -> the candidate must have Law Degree with Assamese as one of the subjects in the degree course and for the post of Chief Language Officer (General), the candidate must have Law Degree with either Assamese, Bengali or Hindi as one of the subjects as in degree course and for both the posts of Chief Language Officers the candidates must have standing practice as an Advocate at least for three years.
