Age Limit: Minimum - 18 Years; Maximum - 40 Years as on closing date. The Upper age relaxation - 03 Years for OBC Category, 05 Years for SC / ST and 10 Years for PWD / PH Category Candidates.
Pay Scale: The Pay Scales differ to Job Location. The Scale of Pay - ₹ 2295 - 45 - 3695/- / ₹ 2665 - 50 - 4165/- etc.
Minimum Educational Qualification: The candidate should pass 10th Standard (Matriculation / X Std) from State / Central Government Board. If Candidates have higher qualification, there is no weightage given for High Qualification.
Computer Knowledge: The candidate should have Basic Knowledge of Computer. The Computer knowledge determine from candidates holding Basic Computer Knowledge Certificate from Govt. Recognized Institute or 10+2 with Computer Subject or Higher Qualification in Computer Subject.
Residence: The GDS BMP Post Selected Candidates must mandatorily take up his/her residence in the Branch Post Office village within 01 Month after selection. The candidate selected for the post of other than GDS BPM should reside in post village/ delivery jurisdiction.
Furnishing of Security: The candidate applying for the post shall note that he/she shall furnish security amount of ₹ 25,000/- in the event of his/her engagement for the post of BPM and ₹ 10,000/- for other categories. The security shall be in the form of Fidelity Guarantee bond or National Savings Certificate pledged to the Department of Posts in the name of the President of India.
Selection Process: No Written Test and Interview. The Selection will be made only thorough automatic generated merit list as per the rules based on the candidates online submitted applications. The selection only based on 10th Class Marks, No weightage given for High Educational Qualification.
Application Fee: ₹ 100/- for General (OC) Male and OBC Male Category Candidates Only. The fee should be made at any Head Post Office. This fee is exempted for All Women (include OC / OBC Category) and SC / ST Category Candidates.

Educational Qualification: Matriculation from a recognized Board or University.
Selection Process: Written Examination (100 Marks, Duration - 120 Minutes)
Pattern of Examination:
(a) Examination will be conducted for 120 Minutes covering four parts in one day.
(b) Each part will be for 25 marks and duration of all the parts will be for 120 minutes.
(c) The question on General Knowledge and Mathematics will also be supplied in the Regional Languages in addition to English Language.
(d) Selection is based on Divisional level merit from among the qualified candidates applied for the Division / Unit concerned.
The candidates shall be subjected to an Aptitude Test of the level of 10th class / matriculation covering the following subjects/topics.

Topics: (for hindi) Shabd pad, Kriyabhed, mishr & sanyukt vakya, vakyo ka rupantaran, swarsandhi, alankar, samas, muhavare & lokoktiyan ashudh vakya shodhan, apathit, gadyansh. These topics shall be replicated in Regional Languages (Bengali/Nepali). |
Cost of Application Form Registration: ₹ 100/- (plus ₹ 20/- for e payment commission) for all categories of applicants who have registered.
Examination Fee: The Examination fee prescribed for all male applicants in General and OBC categories is ₹ 400/-. Candidates belonging to Physically Impaired / Women are exempted from payment of Examination Fee. The applicants have to approach their nearest e-payment Post Officers and to produce Fee Payment Challan printed by him / her and to pay the Fee in Cash only.
