Vacancies are available in departments / subjects such as Sanskrit, Mool Shastra (Tibetan & Sanskrit Medium), Sowa-Rigpa, Bhot Jyotish, Shilpa Vidya, Rare Buddhist Text Research, Dictionary, Translation, Restoration, Sampradaya Shastra (Nyingma, Sakya, Gelug, Kargyud), Bon Shastra, Classical & Modern Languages (Chinese, Japanese, German, French), Social Sciences (Asian History, Political Science, Tibetan History), Tibetan Language & Literature, Tibetan Traditional Painting / Wood Craft, Centre for Teacher Education and BRA Research Professor (Tenure Post). Any three posts among the advertised vacancies may be filled by suitable PwBD candidates as per GoI norms.
✅ CIHTS Faculty Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
- Professor / BRA Research Professor: An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years teaching / research experience as per UGC Regulations.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline with a minimum of 08 years teaching / research experience as per UGC Regulations.
- Assistant Professor: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned / relevant / allied subject. The candidate must have cleared NET conducted by UGC / CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET, or must have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations.
- Relaxation in marks / NET exemption and reservation benefits shall be applicable as per UGC / Government of India rules.
