Job Description:
-Responsible for the Ministry of Transport and Communications HP/CISCO networks and providing support and technical services to users within the Ministry of Transport and Communications approved application.
-In this job, Network Administrator over-see wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), intranets and data communication systems. He might, design and implement a network system that allows the MOTC employees to transfer information among each other.
Network Administrator may also evaluate networks, troubleshoot for problems and take users' suggestions before making any necessary updates or modifications to increase network efficiency. Data security is a major issue in this job, so he must ensure the security of systems by preventing hacking and cyber-attacks.
-Responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, operating, monitoring and maintaining the network infrastructure, network system integrity, security and continued improvement. Ensure service availability of network systems at all times.
-The candidate must be a skilled Network Technician to oversee all areas of integration across servers, networks, IP telephony, hardware and software; responsible for supporting Servers on various platforms, Active Directory, Networking and VOIP,CUCM, Virtualization, Application Support, Server Administration and Firewall Security as well as Backup and Disaster Recovery;
-Facility implementation of contracted IP Data networks projects such as implementation of new routers on layer- 3 routing, configuring new switches, IP data traffic and various other projects.
-The minimum qualification for this post is bachelor degree in networking or equivalent degree and he shall have the following minimum skills and experience:-
-The Candidate must be an experienced System Administrator ideally with certifications, exposure to Virtualization technologies, good CCNA / CCNP networking skills and supporting systems within large scale organizations. This is a role has many responsibilities with a high a degree of exposure to all levels in the company. This position offers significant career growth and training for the right individual.
-Candidate must have exceptional communication and soft skills, be able to support key internal clients and stakeholders, negotiate with external suppliers, and ability to manage own Technical Projects from start to finish. Candidate must be a team player.
-As a network administrator, may also help MOTC make decisions about hardware and software purchases. Sometimes, will have to provide technical support to users/and might be responsible for managing a staff of computer support specialists.
Qualifications and Skills:
-Bachelors' Degree in Computer science, IT (Network or Computer Engineering) or Electronics with professional certificates.
-Solid background and expertise in IP networks
-6 + years' experience with integrations and deployment of IT systems (systems administrator).
-Minimum 6-10 years) experience with responsibility to maintain network systems or similar role in a medium to large organization.
-In-depth working knowledge of IP networks primarily based on optical fiber backbones and other technologies (HP, CISCO) (CORE Switches, distributed network Routing, routing protocols, remote routers, IP telephony, security fire walls, IPS technologies, wireless network,
VLANS, VPNs.
-Proven Knowledge in OS: windows server 2008/2012 sever/windows 7/8, define Domain environment, HW configuration (Server/ PC/Laptop)
-Proven Knowledge in networking, HP/Cisco switch configuration, working with sniffers. Network protocols, and Network topology.
-Experience with integrations, troubleshooting, systems analysis, video systems and command control applications-advantage
-Should have obtained a bachelor's degree in or networking or computer science or information technology.
-Should have experience of VMWare ESX / VSphere support a PLUS.
-Should be familiar with computers and networking infrastructure.
-Should be able to maintain the IT infrastructure - Backup, Redundancy, Networking, Troubleshooting, Policy maintenance, etc.
-Must have obtained a MCITP.
-Possess Certifications such as CCNA.CCNP, CCVP qualification is required or CCIE holders or equivalent.
-Must have experience in project management related to information systems and networks.
-Should be able to work in a team.
-Should be able to work with the service providers |(HP/DELL Servers) and switches (Switches).
-Sound understanding of and experience in network Security principles, practice, standards, methodologies and tools.
-Sound understanding or relevant standards, network change management.
-Knowledge in network troubleshooting standards, network change management.
-The ability to access current network systems and clearly communicate tactical and strategic options.
-Confidence in achieving end-user contentment through active infrastructure support and high levels of network services performance and availability.
-Must have experience in the conceptualization and design of future network MOTC (DGROADS) to resolve all the technical problems that arise.
-Be up to date with the latest technology.
-Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment
-Acceptable customer services and communication skills, service delivery.
